I have always had a passion for animals throughout my life, doing various jobs in the past in a kennel, stables and zoo, which eventually led to my Zoology degree at Leeds University. After working outside of the animal industry for many years, I decided a change in career was needed, and Tails and Trails Pet Services was born!
After having had a variety of pets over the years, including rats, rabbits, tropical fish, bearded dragons, cats and a family dog, I know that your pet is a treasured member of the family, so I will always treat them as if they were my own.
I have a DBS certificate available to view, am fully insured and have a Level 3 Pet First Aid qualification.
I am based in Pudsey, Leeds, and cover the surrounding local areas including Farsley and Bramley. Please get in touch if your area is not listed and I will do my best to help.
Our Services
Pet Home visits
We offer Pet Home Visits to ensure your pets can stay in their home environment where they’re comfortable rather than having to go into a kennels or cattery, and we know how hard it can be to find someone to look after your smaller pets, whether they’re rodents, birds, reptiles or fish. Whatever your pets needs are, we’re here to help.
Our home visits include:
topping up food and water
cleaning out and replenishing litter
playing and socialising with your pet
ensuring your pet is safe and happy
giving any medication if required
lots and lots of cuddles!
Optional services also include:
bringing in any post
opening/closing curtains
turning on/off lights
putting out bins for collection
watering house plants
For 1-3 Pets
£9 for one visit per day / £16 for two visits per day / £24 for three visits per day.
Visits will be approximately 20 minutes depending on requirements.
For 4-5 Pets
£14 for one visit per day / £24 for two visits per day / £33 for three visits per day.
Visits will be approximately 30-40 minutes depending on requirements.
We consider a fish tank or multiple small animals (e.g hamsters) in one enclosure as one pet. Visits can be longer upon request, POA.
Please note, there is a 50p/mile surcharge for any distance over an initial 2 mile radius. You will be advised of this at the time of enquiry.
Dog Walking
We will complete our walks at a variety of locations to ensure your dogs always have an interesting outing and return home tired and happy. Our hour starts once we set off walking, and doesn’t include any travel time. We’ll do work on and off lead (with permission from yourself), sniff out some treats along the way, and work on basic commands.
There are always plenty of towels and a shower available so if there’s time we try to bring your dog home as clean as possible.
We send you photos and a message about what we’ve been up to after their walk via our app!
We’re available for dog walking in Pudsey, Farsley, Bramley and the surrounding areas. All dogs will remain on the lead for their own safety unless otherwise directed by yourself. Please get in touch if you’d like any more information regarding our services.
Private Walk
The perfect option for dogs who require a little more TLC, or prefer their own space when out and about!
For one hour
£22 per dog, £17 per additional dog from the same household.
For 30 minutes
£15 per dog, £10 per additional dog from the same household.
one Hour GROUP Walk
Perfect for those dogs who love to socialise and make new friends!
£13 per dog, £10 per additional dog from the same household.
Our group walks have a maximum of 6 dogs. We will monitor all new additions to the group walks to ensure all dogs are getting along well.
Please note, a 50% surcharge will be applied to services over bank holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

What would we do without Emily!? Thankfully this is purely a rhetorical question as we wouldn’t be where we are now without her. Riker has been walking with Emily since January and she has helped tremendously with his adolescence working with us to increase his (and my) confidence and to get through the myriad of things that pop up with teenage dogs (like horses) positively and with so much patience! I can trust Emily with Riker 100%. I know he is safe and well looked after as Emily takes everything from the weather to each particular dog’s needs into account when planning her walks. Riker is always eager for his walks and comes home super tired and happy! The Pet Parent Portal is excellent for messages and information on bookings and invoicing too. The post walk updates are invaluable as are the beautiful photos! We’re so happy to have found Tails and Trails!
Eva absolutely loves her walks. I know my fur baby is looked after while I’m working, receiving great updates and ace photos of their walk. She never judges any dogs behaviour and always works with them so they can enjoy the walk and surroundings. Eva is always so happy after her walks and dog park adventures. Thank you! x
Emily has been fantastic with my dog Elton, can’t thank her enough. Eltons previous dog walker couldn’t handle his reactivity following being attacked by a dog last year/wanting to play with other dogs. I was in a panic about finding someone else, she came over that day and put me at ease. She is so patient and kind with him. She gives a full report with pictures and updates each walk, she reflects the same training I’m doing with him at home. She always remembers to get treat balls/kongs out the fridge to leave him after walks. Shes even been willing to try him on group walks instead of individual, to build up his socialising and because it now fits better with timings with my new work routine. Amazing company and Emily who runs it is just lovely, very organised, caring and personable. She is great with our 1 and half year old Viz who adores her and is always excited to go on walks with Emily. Emily always feeds back how the walk has been and passes on relevant information and pick up and drop off is also well scheduled and easy. Thanks so much!
Emily was instantly a big hit with the boys. After every walk we have a walk debrief, pictures and clean dogs (which is a miracle given the swamp monster that one of them is). Emily has been super accommodating, reliable and trustworthy!

Very happy having my boy with tails and trails . Emily is a really lovely accommodating person and always tries to help if I have sudden shift changes. I feel very confident that my Pablo is safe and cared for and that means everything.
Emily has been absolutely fantastic with our puppy Jasper. She is trustworthy, reliable and always sends the best updates and pictures so i know the little guy is happy while im at work. She even brings the bins in on bin day! Cant fault her, thank you Emily xx

Emily is really friendly, trustworthy and reliable. Wow! What can I say about Emily at tails and trails... my dogs absolutely adore her! They go on varied and forfilling hour long walks on my office days and sleep till I get home! We used Tails and Trails for the first time for our two cats. We were unsure about having a stranger attend to our cats whilst we were away but no longer wanted to use a cattery. Emily came to visit us at home initially and met our girls. She made us feel at ease straight away and answered all of our questions. Emily was very thorough and uploaded everything to the app so we could review before our holiday. The whole process was really easy. We had to change the food for the cats at the last minute and Emily happily took some additional time to ensure she was clear on the new regime. Once we were away, Emily sent us photos and kept us updated on how the girls were which really put our minds at rest. Whilst the cats clearly missed us they were happier than they normally are when we’ve been away. The final touch of ensuring we were home to ensure our cats would be looked after was brilliant. Emily has been really patient and caring with my nervous cockapoo Mabel and built up her trust at Mabel's pace. It’s really lovely to get the reports after each walk to see how she’s progressing and what a fantastic time she’s had!
Emily has been walking Lenny for the past 8 months and the service she has provided has been exceptional. Lenny loves his walks, so much so he cries with excitement when he hears the van on the street, even when it isn't his turn for a walk! Emily is professional, friendly and always has the dogs best interests in mind. Lenny started out on solo walks and progressed to group walks. There's a report with photos after each walk and he is suitably tired enough from the walk, at a variety of different places, to sleep until we get in from work. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Emily and the services she provides.
I booked Tails and Trails Pet Services for the first time to look after my cat whilst I went away for a few days. Emily visited my house to meet my cat and explain to me what her pet sitting service involved. The app that is used is really good and made it easy to contact Emily. I have been really impressed with Emily's friendly, kind, caring and professional approach and I'd definitely recommend Tails and Trails Pet Services.

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you in order to enquire about our services, to complete the services you have asked us to undertake, and for the health and safety of your pets whilst in our care.
We will not share your personal information with anyone unless required to do so by law.
Once signed up as a client your information is securely stored. We will keep your contact details for the duration of scheduled services. If you have not requested services for 6 months we will mark your file as inactive.
